Bodywurx Intro Level Training - Six Week Experiential Training

Anatomy-completed anatomy course and The Anatomy Coloring Book
Fee: $750.00 50% due upon registration; all balances due at or prior to beginning of first class. Inquire about payment arrangements.
Course Outline & Schedule
Bodywurx Intro Training
October 21: Class 1.
Structural: Legs, anterior & posterior
Healing: Protecting yourself in session. Initial assessment of client. Needs vs. wants; allowing vs. doing; domination vs. dominion. Discussion of dialoging in emotional release work.
October 28: Class 2.
Structural: Hips
Healing: Setting intent. Thought as ones most impactful tool. Beginning programming. Tools for expanding inner-vision and “reading” ones tissues.
November 4: Class 3.
Structural: Back
Healing: Where emotion resides in the physical body. An exploration of how certain emotions seem to be stored in certain areas of the body in all of us. Creating a safe container to begin the process of allowing the emotions to be released in a safe, sustainable and permanent manner.
November 11:Class 4.
Structural: Neck/ Jaw/ Mouth
Healing: How complex language can intricately lock emotions in ones body; a beginning overview of how specific cues given to an individual enable them to allow and to give themselves “permission” to release blocked emotions.
November 18:Class 5.
Structural: Anterior Torso/ Organs/ The Psoas
Healing: Beginning diagnostics in the treatment of the client; S.O.A.P. (subjective, objective, assessment & plan).
November 25:
NO CLASS…Happy Thanksgiving!
December 2: Class 6.
Structural: Energy work based in Native American, Brazilian, Asian and Maori (Native New Zealand) approaches.
Healing: Effectively marketing yourself. Print ads vs. directories.
Beyond Bodywurx intro.
Bodywurx Level 2 Training
2005 dates to be announced. Individuals need to be invited to a Level 2 training by demonstrating natural aptitude and a commitment to their own healing process.
Candidates have completed one year minimum of individual therapy or counseling and and have spent one year doing service work.No required reading prior to level one. Reading list will be provided for level 2 trainees.
Fall 2005 will see the arrival of the Body Mind Institute- a Los Angeles based facility dedicated to offering the Bodywurx approach to healing which includes deep tissue and emotional release as well as the other modalities of complementary healing such as acupuncture, colon hydrotherapy and preventative medicine offered by an M.D.
Here allopathic medicine is bridged with natural traditions, holistic and esoteric schools of healing in a practical, grounded approach. Bodywurx graduates would be extended the opportunity to join the team and co-create the healing process in this facility which is one-of-a kind in the city.
